All righty… as you know, there are many awesome bands in Finland, not just HIM. And this would be one of my favorites.

Say hello to Amorphis! (And Tomi Joutsen, Mermaid Rescuer) This was my first Amorphis song and man, it’s kind of… angst ballad. The album this was from was their first with Tomi the Mermaid Rescuer.

Heads up, Tomi growls like a beast in some songs, so don’t let that discourage you from listening. Also don’t let Pasi Koskinen discourage you either (their old singer… he kind of stinks imo)

Someday I will post the mermaid rescue clip, I’ve posted it before but it can’t hurt to post it again.

Now go and listen. :)

P.s. “Sleep is a house for lovers” is one of the most romantic lyric in a song… I cried when I first heard this song. On that note I am going to bed.

Even though I tend to dive into darker themed interests, I still can’t consider myself Gothic. I used to be quite the Baby bat in High School, but it never really progressed past that point. I wish it would have.

Oh but that’s not true :( Goth isn’t about being into horror movies or dead things. And pretty much all goth girls I know (including me) are quite girly ;) We gossip about make up, fashion and guys for hours. In my definition (and I know 99% of all people reading this post will disagree) is about being yourself, embracing who you are (and that “dark side”) and living how you want to, against all odds. No need to fix things that someone told you aren’t “gawth”.
